Eric Chang's Story

Sunlit Empowerment was born out of a deeply personal journey. During a visit to rural areas of China, including my mother's hometown, I witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by communities without access to reliable electricity. In my grandparents' home, I observed the careful conservation of light, a stark reminder of the financial constraints they faced in affording electricity.

 

Reflecting on my father's own upbringing in Taiwan, where financial struggles were a constant reality, I realized the profound impact that access to basic resources like electricity can have on individuals and communities. Grateful for the opportunities afforded to me, I felt compelled to take action and address this pressing issue.

 

Sunlit Empowerment is my response to the need for sustainable, accessible lighting solutions in underserved communities. Our mission is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to essential resources for a dignified quality of life. By harnessing the power of the sun, we aim to provide affordable and reliable lighting to those living in energy poverty.
